Bring Back the Good Ol’ Boys Finds Tom Minor Balancing Satire, Melody, and Modern Life
Last month, I mentioned that London-based singer/songwriter Tom Minor is no stranger to our pages and playlists. Why, even before Savoy Truffle Tunes, I had the privilege of listening to and reviewing Tom's music! Be it The Manic Phase EP or August's punky anthem Next Stop Brixton, Tom has consistently shown that his knack for storytelling and emotive sonic flair makes every release essential listening. So, without further ado, allow me to introduce you to the artist's latest single, Bring Back the Good Ol' Boys.
A tongue-in-cheek take on our endless ability to repeat the same old mistakes and fall for the promises of authoritarian leaders, Bring Back the Good Ol' Boys has that classic Tom Minor sound. Eclectic, upbeat, and laced with mischievous humour, it's a tune that worms its way into your head and refuses to let go, much like the majority of Tom's work.
Delivering his own brand of what's been labelled "existential indie," Tom's new track blends sharp wit with irresistible melodies. There's a timeless quality to his music that feels both grounded and playful, and he has this ability to capture the fleeting chaos of modern life with such ease.
A musician I shall never tire of hearing from, Tom Minor just makes it look easy!
