Cas Du Pree Returns to Form with Gentle Yet Bold New Single Man Of My Word

Cas Du Pree is a Dutch singer/songwriter who entered my musical orbit in 2023 with an infectious little tune called London, and I've been proudly following his work ever since. In 2024, Cas confirmed his sonic prowess with the release of his Neon Nights EP - so to be honest, the wait to hear from him again has felt a bit longer than expected. That said, Man Of My Word, the artist's brand new single, arrives as a beautifully rewarding return.

Teaming up with his longtime producer Arron Storey, Cas offers listeners a first glimpse into what will eventually become his sophomore album. A gentle and heartfelt piece of music, Man Of My Word is a song unashamedly influenced by English singer/songwriter James Arthur. 

"I like how he gets personal and how his music builds up in a track," admits Cas.

A tune that balances somewhere between the musician's previous soundscape and a fresh, subtly bolder evolution, Cas's latest single shows that he’s ready to push his sound forward without losing the intimacy and warmth that first drew listeners in. 

His vocals, as always, are dreamily welcoming and comforting, and all signs point to a sophomore record that'll be soaked in shimmering emotion and unguarded storytelling.
