FREE to feel Is Another Vibrant and Colourful Chapter in The New Citizen Kane's Story

Regular readers will already be familiar with Kane Michael Luke, a London-based pop artist who performs under the moniker The New Citizen Kane. Having proudly championed his pulsating blend of synth pop and EDM for almost a year now, there's one thing guaranteed with Kane: he always has another release up his sleeve. This time, it's FREE to feel, a seven-track EP that also serves as the opening chapter of his ambitious new project, PSYCHEDELIKA Pt. 2. 

Upbeat, colourful, and unmistakably The New Citizen Kane, FREE to feel is a vibrant collision of shimmering synth pop, cinematic electronics, and deeply personal songwriting. From the bouncy, feel-good energy of the EP's opener, DREAM logic, to a striking reworking of Gwen Stefani's What You Waiting For?, Kane takes listeners on a gloriously unpredictable sonic ride.

metalLIC, the lead single, is a euphoric celebration of emotional freedom - and a tune Kane and I spoke about at length during our recent interview. "It's about giving yourself permission to stop editing who you are," says the musician.

Three more songs, as well as an incredible acoustic version of metalLIC, fill out the remainder of FREE to feel. Each is as bold and infectious as the last, making the EP an absolute treat from beginning to end. Then again, by now, I expect nothing less from The New Citizen Kane!
