Horror-Soaked Synths and Metal Muscle Collide on VHS PANTY RIOT’s Debut EP KISS KISS CUT CUT

If the name VHS PANTY RIOT rings a bell, there's a good reason. As the darksynth project of Northamptonshire-based artist and producer Nathan Wilde, it was only last month that I was waxing lyrical about a tune called You’re Pretty When You Panic. Describing it as sitting "somewhere between a terrifying nightmare and an adrenaline rush," the potent track took hold of me and refused to let go.

Knowing the song would form part of VHS PANTY RIOT's upcoming EP, I was impatient to hear what else Nathan had been cooking up. Thankfully, the wait hasn't been long. Introducing KISS KISS CUT CUT!

Built on a foundation of horror-soaked synths, distorted bass, and massive drums, all of the EP's five instrumentals are infused with a modern metal bite. Giving each piece muscle and depth, Nathan creates a listening experience that's as immersive as it is punishing.

Now, while I'd usually break down a song or two on the EP, I believe the true beauty of KISS KISS CUT CUT lies in its carefully crafted cohesion. It's such a unique and forward-thinking record that I wouldn't want to rob you of the thrill of discovering all its dark twists and turns.

What I will say, however, is this: if you enjoyed You’re Pretty When You Panic, you'll absolutely love KISS KISS CUT CUT! Outstanding stuff!
