If you knew what I knew Is Kat Madleine’s Stunningly Fragile New Single
It wasn't long ago that I was waxing lyrical about Kat Madleine, a German artist, producer, and musicologist. She'd just delivered a charming and cinematic little gem called I'll be right there, and the soulful anthem really stuck with me.
Since then, Kat has released two more singles: Falling back in love and If you knew what I knew. While I implore you to listen to the former, today it's the latter that I am honoured to introduce you to.
A stunningly fragile and emotional piece of music, Kat's latest track moves with a soft and entrancing grace. Once again, just like I'll be right there, she trusts in the power of restraint, and allows the song space to breathe and expand at its own pace.
Between the tender verses and luminous chorus, a deeply personal tale unfolds. At least, that's the impression I get. To be honest, I've never really been a fan of reducing one's art to any singular meaning.
As for Kat's vocal performance, she really showcases a wide and dynamic range. Somehow both delicate and resolute, it only confirms my belief that she is as pure a musician as you’re likely to encounter. Another superb offering!
