In 2023, Ohio-based artist Jared Fullerman released his debut album, Albatross. Featuring nine original tunes, the record earned instant, widespread acclaim. But then…silence. 

Sure, he was busy with college and classes and graduation and all that, but when you release a debut that good, people are bound to start asking when the follow-up will arrive.

Well, my friends, the wait is officially over. Introducing Super Senior (Smooth Stones).

Serving as the first single from Jared's upcoming sophomore album, Super Senior is a beautifully expansive and almost theatrical piece of music. Shaped by a heavy rotation of jangle-pop and synth-driven goodness, it showcases the musician's unique ability to weave between sounds and textures effortlessly.

Jared's dreamy and vintage vocal performance only adds to the track's rich, cinematic radiance, as he tells a tale of chronic procrastination through a song that (ironically) came together in just over a week.

The word sophisticated keeps entering my mind whenever I'm listening to Super Senior. And then, to my surprise, I found out that there's actually a genre called Sophisti-pop. It's the perfect fit for Jared Fullerman, and I'm hugely looking forward to hearing that new record - a twenty-track epic that promises to take his genre-blending genius to new heights!
