Kalligary Capture the Beautiful Awkwardness of Youth on Soaring New Tune Only Fans

What do you get when you combine a Russian frontman, an Israeli multi-instrumentalist, a British drummer, and an American sound guy? Well, as it turns out, you get a pretty phenomenal band that has found its home in Berlin, Germany. Going by the name Kalligary, the project recently unveiled its fourth official single - a soaring indie rock anthem called Only Fans. High-energy, dynamic, and oh so infectious, it's a tune I am honoured to share with you today.

Layered guitars, big drums, and an all-around punk rock attitude are the order of the day on Kalligary's latest release. Showcasing a louder, bolder direction than previous singles, Only Fans finds its inspiration in what I like to call the universal awkwardness of looking back on one's younger self.

"I recently stumbled across one of the first songs I ever wrote as a teenager," explains Nikolai Konovalov. "I smiled at how naive I was - how every emotion felt like the end of the world - especially when it came to girls."

Tapping into the beautifully uncomplicated melancholy of youth, Kalligary capture something we all lose as we grow older: the honesty that only inexperience can provide.

An absolutely smashing track from start to finish, I'm hopeful that Only Fans isn't just a great new song - but also a serious statement of intent!
