OpCritical Turn Up the Heat on Latest Protest Anthem USA

The American outfit known as OpCritical is fast becoming a serious voice in modern protest music. Yes, they only formed at the beginning of this year, but there's a fearlessness to the work they've unleashed so far that's impossible to ignore.

Why, it was only last month that I was singing the praises of Not Alone, the act's debut single, and bold reinterpretation of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young's Ohio

Since then, OpCritical have delivered three more singles: Doing Fine, Not My America, and USA. Today, it is my honour to introduce you to USA, a tune that calls on people across America to stand together and save democracy and decency.

A potent mix of rock, punk, and even a little grunge, USA wastes no time engulfing listeners in a wave of gritty, infectious riffs. The intent is clear - they demand your attention, because the stakes are too high to ignore.

"American citizens are confused and afraid of all the turmoil they see daily, but together, they can unite to reclaim their humanity and country," says the band. “USA is meant to show every American that together there is a better way forward.”

Powerful, fiery, and oh so timely, OpCritical's latest offering is another fine example of the group's ability to channel anger and urgency into something sonically compelling. I'm telling you, don't sleep on this outfit!
