Outside Pedestrian Explore Musical Freedom with Adventurous New Single Drawbridge

Outside Pedestrian is an eclectic trio comprised of Anthony Fesmire, David Lockeretz, and David Oromaner. Based in California, the three musicians have been recording, releasing, and performing music together for over a quarter of a century, each bringing their unique flavour to the party.

Drawbridge is the brand new single from the outfit, and it's the first we've heard from them since 2024's album Time Zones. A seemingly "simple" offering of jazzy instrumental rock that gradually reveals itself to be far more complex and adventurous, Drawbridge allows each instrument to wander wherever it pleases. And, sure, the structure is there, but the tune never feels restricted by any rules.

Diving a little deeper into the artists behind the music, it was Anthony and David Lockeretz who originally crossed paths as students at Berklee College of Music in the early 1990s. Developing a music kinship, the two created Outside Pedestrian, recorded a CD, and performed all over Los Angeles.

The years went by, but the music never left them, and when the pair reunited in 2012, they knew it was time to get back down to business. Recruiting veteran New York drummer and producer David Oromaner, the project took on fresh life - something Drawbridge captures beautifully.
