Panpsychist Is Juno Empire’s Latest Celebration of Life and Consciousness

OK, I'm officially beginning to fall extremely hard for the work of Arizona-based artist and composer Alexander Thomas. Performing under the moniker Juno Empire, the musician has released four singles to date, and with each new offering, he’s only sharpened his dreamy, surreal, psychedelic pop.

That steady evolution brings us to Panpsychist, the luminous new Juno Empire release. Transforming philosophical concepts into a shimmering and synth-drenched piece of music, it's a track where the mood and message feel inseparable. As Alexander explores the idea that consciousness is a fundamental property of reality, he also submerges the listener into a lush and swirling world of highly danceable melodies and grooves.

Channelling heavyweights like M83, Tame Impala, MGMT, and Daft Punk, Juno Empire's latest single feels like a subtle nod to its influences while remaining entirely its own. Atmospheric, hypnotic, and with a cheeky sense of playfulness, Panpsychist invites those who absorb it to join the artist in celebrating all that life entails.

I'm beginning to run out of superlatives to describe just how special a project Juno Empire truly is. My only gripe, however, is that his output flow is a little too relaxed for my impatient ears. That said, I have no doubt he has more synthny goodness in his locker!
