Take Another Ride: R3b3l I’s Carousel Is a Soft and Hypnotic Journey of Sound

While we often focus on the latest releases from artists and bands here at Savoy Truffle Tunes, today I'd like to rewind to the very start of R3b3l I's blossoming sonic journey.

In July last year, the London-based producer delivered Carousel, an airy and deeply hypnotic instrumental debut. Crafted for those who need something to sink into, whether they're working or simply unwinding, it's a soft and gentle composition that invites listeners to let go of the noise and fall into its ebb and flow.

"As someone who is high-functioning autistic, I experience sound differently," says the producer. "Carousel, for example, was inspired by piano notes I kept hearing over several days, which reminded me of a carousel ride."

Building on those piano notes with delicate violin strokes, soft kicks, and an overall aura of serenity, Carousel shimmers with a nostalgia that resonates deep within. It takes you back to simpler times, where your only concern was something like how many tickets you could afford for another go on the carousel.

If R3b3l I's debut is up your alley, I've got some good news for you. There's a whole lot more where that came from!
