They Owe Us Delivers a Wonderfully Unpredictable Ride on New Tune Kids Of The Tape Hiss

Kids Of The Tape Hiss is the bouncy and energetic new single from They Owe Us, the sonic project of Swedish musician and producer Kristoffer Ragnstam. Serving as the very last track penned for his upcoming album, Katzengold, Kids Of The Tape Hiss is a tune that never quite settles into its skin. Melodic, restless, and bursting with personality, it's a little rollercoaster of a track - packed with inventive songwriting and a wonderfully fresh spirit.

Having been previously described as sitting "somewhere between MGMT and Bon Iver on speed," Kristoffer's latest release is every bit as infectious as it is unpredictable. You never know what's around the corner - and that's half the fun!

Telling a tale of memory, family, and the way certain places never leave us, Kids Of The Tape Hiss features what is unquestionably one of my favourite lyrics in some time: "My mama listened to Bob Dylan like he wrote the Bible and she never needed more." Genius!

From headlining his own tours to sharing the stage with the likes of Debbie Harry and Mumford & Sons, Kristoffer Ragnstam brings a wealth of experience to the table. And, if Kids Of The Tape Hiss is any indication of what he's delivered before, I have a lot of listening to do!

Katzengold is scheduled for release on September 25th!
