Flicker Is Another Beautiful Chapter in Josh Jensen's Ever-Growing Songbook

Seattle-based singer/songwriter and guitarist Josh Jensen and I have crossed paths plenty of times over the years. Tunes like Across the Sky, Lost in the Sound, and Be Human have quite literally soundtracked a fair few moments in my life, so it's always a pleasure to welcome him back to our pages.

Flicker is Josh's latest offering - an Americana-inspired instrumental featuring Hannah Wyatt on fiddle and Trapper Robbins on keys. Having collaborated with both musicians before, Josh already knows the kind of magic they can create together, and Flicker is a beautiful example of that chemistry in action.

Delicate, cinematic, and utterly intoxicating, Josh's new single is part of the 2026 Rise Up Music Project, a yearlong challenge that unites thirty artists who must create and release new music every day.

"This project has pushed me creatively and led to new songs and collaborations that probably wouldn't have happened otherwise," admits Josh.

Delivering his new tune on the 27th of every month, Josh has embraced the challenge wholeheartedly, and if Flicker is anything to go by, we're in for plenty more musical treats before the year is out. A musician of the highest order, I simply cannot praise Josh Jensen's work highly enough!
